Green Thumb Competition

What you're looking at is the 2nd annual Taylor Balcony Green Thumb Competition. The competitors this year are Itsuki and Graham.

Front right in the photo, sporting pink, yellow, and white flowers that he doesn't know the name of, is the G-dog team flower pot.

Directly behind that (and in front of G-dog) is the Flower Power team supported by Itsuki. Which team will live for the longest... smell the nicest... and survive the harsh summer heat, and cruel rainy season with most petals intact?!?! Stay tuned!

There is an open category contest this year as well. Mini tomato and green/yellow pepper plants are also trying the bid for survival in the "Balcony of Doom!"

Results from last year's competition: After a good start out of the gates, Graham and his team of tomatos, green peppers and eggplants suffered a devastating attack from insects! Entire peppers were lost overnight in a sneak "slug" attack. Mentally drained and deprived of all hope, those tomatos that did survive, suffered a terrible dry season, as G-dog couldn't bring himself to go on the balcony to face (and water) the aftermath.

The moral of the story is: Don't steal dirt from the farmers field beside your apartment because it's full of insects!
